These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lorika platform, including the website at lorika.dev, the web dashboard at app.lorika.dev, and the Lorika endpoint agent software (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or installing the agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Lorika is a unified endpoint security and IT operations platform. The Service performs automated security checks on enrolled devices, calculates a Security Score, maps results to industry compliance frameworks, and provides a centralised dashboard for monitoring and management. The agent software runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux devices and transmits security telemetry to the Lorika backend for analysis.
2. Account Terms
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Lorika currently offers authentication through Google OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Google account, and Lorika is not liable for unauthorised access resulting from compromised third-party credentials.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the agent software or backend systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Enrol devices you do not own or have authorisation to manage.
- Transmit malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without prior written consent from Lorika.
- Use the Service to collect or harvest personal data of third parties without their consent.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, content, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Lorika and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant Lorika a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
5. Data Processing
Lorika processes device telemetry data, security check results, and account information to provide the Service. Our data handling practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation and process personal data of your employees or end users, you are the data controller for that data, and Lorika acts as a data processor on your behalf.
6. Service Level
Lorika strives to maintain high availability of the Service. However, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance where practicable.
Free-tier users receive no uptime guarantee. Paid plans may include Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as specified in the applicable subscription agreement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lorika shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Lorika’s total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Lorika in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
The Security Score and compliance mappings are informational tools and do not constitute professional security advice, certification, or guarantee of compliance. You remain solely responsible for the security of your devices and compliance with applicable regulations.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
Lorika may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in activity that threatens the security or integrity of the Service, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable, except in cases of urgent security concerns.
9. Modifications to Terms
Lorika reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
